Message to Bank Friends on Facebook

I have tried my level best to spread my views on culture of flattery and bribery prevalent in all government offices ,PSUs, banks and insurance companies Someone has instigated our central office and I had to face awkward position. They threatened of serious action and hence I have left Facebook. After all there is a fear of transfer and much more .There is none to safeguard and understand what I am writing and what I mean to say by writing blog. Government usually comes to picture only after the house has burnt more than 80% and when survival scope is limited.

I wanted to convey the message to as many people as possible but my views could reach a few hundred people only. I hope you will continue to awaken staff as usual and I will join you after few days.

Framing of promotion policy is in process in every banks and hence it is necessary to build pressure on union leaders for elimination of word like Interview, Group discussion which gives enough scope for taking whimsical decisions and which promoters reign of injustice, culture of flattery and bribery and which ultimately adversely affects the quality of assets in banks.

When bank's health is jeopardized , scope of handsome rise in wage rise in Bipartite settlements gets reduced .Please make all efforts to make the process of promotion completely seniority based and transfers completely transparent and reason based. Hike in salary and allowances is of no meaning , if an officers is tortured by posting at critical and remote places or when a far junior officer is made his boss for no reason, when a fresh officers is recruited from outside in upper scale directly reducing  the opportunity to existing officers in lower scales waiting for promotion for decades .

Bank management has strategically divided the unity of officers and doing what they like without caring even for the health of bank from where they earn their livelihood and it is purely due to bank’s job that they get all respect and recognition in the society.. Top officers forming core management are so clever that they always keep union leaders in their good book, polish them and agree to some of their request to please some officers who can divide the officer’s unity and community as a whole..

Though I have no hope from union leaders who are second side of same coin which management represents. Union leaders mostly speak the language of management. I know most of union leaders serve their vested interest, taking their due share in bribe from bad officers and bad borrowers, and it is they  who only help a few officers of their choice in posting and promotions to win the heart of officer community as politicians in our country are mostly doing and they use same clever tactics as politicians do to mobilize majority support   on the eve of election. 

But all right thinking officers should continue to make efforts and wait till mass awakening comes true and when officer’s community will realize the bitter truth of their so called leaders and teach them a lesson.

I am still happy that due to concerted efforts by a few officers, government has at least issued fresh guideline to all banks on promotion policy to curtail the discretionary rights of top executives, ED and CMDs of the bank. Still a lot has to be done to prevent whimsical transfers and arbitrary promotions. 

I would like to reiterate here that in the name of merit , top executives are raping merits and inculcating culture of flattery and bribery only as government officers usually do .It is their habit of promoting officers of their choice and issuing transfer orders as per choice of a few officers after taking some costly gifts and share in bribe earned by junior officers who use to earn in field work in nexus with borrowers , supplier of goods and services and from contractors. 

Let us make all efforts to make the policy effective and judicious and pray God for good results for good officers and good health for all banks.

It is worthwhile to mention here that persons like Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi, Anna Hazare, Prashant Bhusan,Baba Ramdeo and their followers are fighting against corruption and black money. Crores of people are behind these highly respected personalities. Still dirty politicians of our country who are sitting at powerful posts have spared no stone unturned to trap and torture even such undisputed and uncontroversial persons .

One cannot expect justice even from judiciary in a decade or two or three or even till his death in our country. As such it is wise to be tactful in all sphere of life particularly in a society where most of people are clever and engaged in dirty politics based on caste, community, region, religion and other similar sentimental issues.
